Chapter history

Since 2022

The Zeta Omega chapter was chartered at UC Irvine in 2022 by a group of business and economics students who wanted something the campus did not yet offer: a serious, co-ed professional organization with the closeness of a fraternity.

Since its founding, the chapter has brought together students pursuing careers across business, finance, consulting, science, and beyond. Our alumni have gone on to roles at investment banks, Big Four firms, and leading biotechnology companies — and continue to be a resource for the members who come after them.

Today, Zeta Omega is a growing community where every member has the opportunity to make an impact. From professional development and networking to philanthropy, social events, and brotherhood, members play an active role in shaping the future of the chapter and building something lasting at UC Irvine.

Every new member is matched with a big and an optional alumni career mentor in their target industry.
Our workshops are taught by members who just finished their interviews and landed an internship or job — not from a generic slide deck.
Open to every major: engineering, humanities, ICS, pharmaceutical/biological sciences, film, and more are all represented.
An alumni base concentrated across the U.S. eager to help newer members.

National organization

Founded in 1924, Phi Chi Theta has spent more than a century building a tradition of business education, professional development, and fellowship.

Phi Chi Theta was founded in 1924 and today spans collegiate and alumni chapters across the United States, supported by a national network, annual conference, scholarship opportunities, and a member directory. The Zeta Omega chapter operates within the framework of Phi Chi Theta’s national constitution and bylaws while developing its own programming, recruitment, and chapter operations at UC Irvine.
